Sara Daneshpour won the International Russian Piano Competition, then took 2nd prize at the 2007 William Kapell International Piano Competition one month later. 17 year-old Chilean guitarist, Gonzalo Contreras was finalist in the 2006 Parkening Young Guitarist Competition and studies with Christopher Parkening at Pepperdine.
