Genesis West presents The Pillowman, a play by Martin McDonagh, directed by Maurice Lord running April 19 through May 3.
Hailed by The New York Times as “the season’s most exciting and original new play” and winner of the 2004 Olivier Award and Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play and two Tony Awards The Pillowmanis a viciously funny and horrific drama that centers on a writer in a totalitarian state who is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. The result is an urgent work of theatrical bravura and an unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art. Featuring: Dirk Blocker, Tom Hinshaw, Jeff Mills, Matt Tavianini, Howard Howe and Leslie Gangl Howe.
