An Evening with Allegra Goodman

Mon, May 26, 2008 at 7:30pm

Congregation B’nai B’rith, 1000 San Antonio Creek Road, Santa Barbara

Event Description

Herman P. and Sophia Taubman Foundation endowed Symposia in Jewish Studies at UCSB presents an Evening with Allegra Goodman.

Compared to Saul Bellow and Philip Roth on the pages of Time and called “a prodigy” by The Wall Street Journal, Allegra Goodman’s rise through the ranks of contemporary American novelists has been breathtaking. She is the author of Intuition and Paradise Park, which were selected as New York Times Notable Books, Kaaterskill Falls which was a bestselling National Book Award finalist, and the acclaimed short story collection, The Family Markowitz. Courtesy of Borders, copies of her books will be available for purchase and signing at this event.
