Event Description
Friends of the Carpinteria Salt Marsh host a Carpinteria Marsh and Bluffs Weeding Day to help keep nature beautiful, the second Sunday of every month.
Our natural areas are becoming overrun with non-native vegetation, and if we don't pull weeds at these two sites, areas that have been restored to native vegetation, they will get trashed. We need more native vegetation to increase our native wildlife.
Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park:
Meet at the telescope entrance on Ash Avenue between Third Street and Sandyland Avenue
Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve:
Meet in the parking lot at the junction of Bailard and Carpinteria Avenue at 1pm on the following Sundays:
