Santa Barbara Theatre presents Victory, the American Premiere of Athol Fugard's Play.
The Santa Barbara Theatre is honored to announce that Athol Fugard has once again asked SBT Co-Artistic Director Stephen Sachs to direct the American premiere of his latest play. VICTORY, the fourth play in SBT’s 2007-08 season, brings into focus three disparate lives in post-apartheid South Africa. Morlan Higgins (EXITS & ENTRANCES, HUGHIE) stars as a retired teacher who returns home to find two people looting his house, one a young girl he has known since birth. Written with Fugard’s trademark blend of masterful language, sharply observed characters and eternal hope for redemption, VICTORY is the latest gem from a living legend.
