| The City of Moorpark Electricity Assistance Fund (805) 517-6261 http://ci.moorpark.ca.us/ While Supplies Last The City of Moorpark is offering residents help to pay their electricity bills. The Electricity Assistance Fund is available for a limited time at the Moorpark Active Adult Center. Income guidelines apply, and applicants must be Southern California Edison residential customers, only customers listed on the bill are eligible, and are only eligible one time per year. Funds are dispersed on a first come first served basis. Applicants with a zero balance or a credit on their bill are not eligible. | SCAN Senior Resource Center Strong Bones Study (805) 658-0365 SCAN Health Plan, California Lutheran University and Ventura Adult Continuing Education are seeking seniors ages 65 or better to participate in a collaborative research study about the effect exercise has on bone density, mobility, balance and leg strength. To qualify, seniors should be able to stand, unassisted for at least 5 minutes and perform simple exercises while standing. The study will involve participation in a one-hour class twice a week for 6 months in Ventura at the SCAN Senior Resource Center.
